I watched part of "The Office" last night.
When it first came out (three or four years ago?), this show was incredibly clever and funny, but it has gone seriously downhill. I think the writers probably only had sufficient material for one or two seasons, because the few episodes that I've watched the past couple of years have been consistently un-funny.
Particularly disappointing was the discovery that Idris Elba (Stringer Bell from "The Wire") has joined the cast -- his character was not interesting and he almost seemed to be "going through the motions" acting-wise, which is a dramatic reversal from how powerful his acting was in "The Wire."
