Adam Gottschalk, on the radio this morning, said that Mel Kiper is currently ranking UVa's Rashawn Jackson as the number one fullback prospect for next year's NFL draft.
Wow - until his 90 yard performance against Maryland last week, I'd never really even noticed Jackson ... and according to Kiper he is a legitimate NFL prospect! This furthers my thesis that Al Groh consistently produces players who can succeed in the pro's, but for some reason they don't gel as a team while at Virginia. What accounts for the discrepancy between the talent we've clearly got at individual positions versus the inability to win as a team?
The picture of Jackson is from last week's Maryland game and was taken by Nick Wass of the Associated Press.
