Jets - 24, Bengals - 14: Shonn Greene and Mark Sanchez Key the Victory

It's one of the two best football weekends of the year -- wild-card weekend!!

Right now the Eagles are playing at Dallas and just tied up the game 7-7 on a 76 yard touchdown pass from Michael Vick to Jeremy Maclin. GO Eagles (I can't believe I'm such an Eagles fan, but I really don't want the Cowboys to win).

In the early game, the Jets won in Cincinnati, 24-14. Mark Sanchez was solid (12 of 15), with a key long touchdown by Dustin Keller in which he somehow tiptoed down the sideline and got the ball just beyond the pylon. Shonn Greene (in the picture) ran 21 times for 135 yards, including a 39 yard touchdown run. Greene's a rookie, and I'd never even heard of him before today.

Carson Palmer threw some really poor passes (lots of overthrows), and Chad Ochocinco only had one catch on the day. Meanwhile, Rex Ryan (who made waves at the very beginning of the season (post is here)) looks like the coach of the moment.

Some great sports news of today: UVa won its first ACC game of the year - we beat NC State 70-62, in Raleigh (victories on the road were so rare during the Leitao era - could this be a change?), after trailing by 10 in the second half!!

Sylven Landesberg had 23 points.
